Creating an emotional connection with animation
HSBC needed a stand-out film to support the internal launch of its new Mentoring platform, to explain the value of mentorship for both mentee and mentor, and to detail how mentorship can be of particular use at a time of career transition when one needs a little help and a guiding hand. The film also needed to lend itself to social cuts to appeal to external audiences to highlight HSBC’s ongoing support for its employees. We developed an eye-catching, cut-out animation style with a real sense of fun, allowing us to drive an emotional connection by exciting employees about the possibilities of mentoring whilst giving the visual flexibility to bring the world of possibilities to life.
